Welcome to the little slice of paradise also known as my blog.

I'm a 25 year old from sunny Florida! As a side note, I've never really gotten that saying. Really it's more like bi-polar-weather Florida, can't-make-up-it's-mind-if-it-wants-to-be-hot-or-cold Florida....you get the point. :)

I have a love for pretty, sparkly things, interior decorating, crafting, do-it-yourself projects, cooking, reading and organizing everything I can get my hands on.
My husband and I just bought our first home and it needs lots of work. We have decided that despite not having much experience in the whole renovating thing, we are going to learn and do all this work ourselves.

I decided to start a blog for a few reasons:

1. I have always enjoyed blogs, writing and DIY projects

2. Even if no one reads this blog it will be cool to have a memento of all our hardwork and how much our first little home has changed over time

3. I figure it will be pretty entertaining for ya'll to see how badly our projects turn out sometimes due to lack of experience. Sorry, we're noobs! But we'll get there with time. :)

Just to start this off right, this is what my house looks like 99% of the time. Not horrible, but not picture perfect. I call it "lived in"!

As a disclaimer, I am in no way one of those women who's home is perfect, beautiful, spotless and decorated at all times. I'm not Martha Stewart and I'm not Betty Crocker. I wish that was the case but that's just not real life.

Not for me anyways. I have too much going on all the time! Full time job, mommy, wife, blogger, projects, family, friends.

Oh yeah, and I have to find time somewhere in there to shower and eat. Most days.

I kid

Anyways those of you who are able to maintain that are lucky ducks and I envy you!

Speaking of home life, I'm the mommy to one-stinking-adorable little boy named Tucker. He just turned one, and he's growing up too fast. ::Tear::

His likes are terrorizing his poor momma and daddy, mac n cheese, anything that makes noise, bath time and getting his teeth brushed.

His dislike is the word no.

He pretty much has an incredible ability of tearing the house up in about 2.5 seconds flat. It's impressive, I have to give him that.

I'm married to a pretty dang wonderful man named Kevin. We met when we were teenagers but we were both in relationships at the time.

Fast forward a few years later and we happened to start talking again. We decided to go on a date and boom... we've been inseperable ever since.

Sometimes the stars align and you get lucky like that. He wasn't what I expected in a million years and as teenagers I never thought of him like that once. But now here we are, and he's the best thing that's ever happened to me next to Tucker.

He's not as amused by my projects as I am. But he always gives in to my whining. Eventually.

Well, that's about it for me. Thanks for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me. I hope you enjoy!
